Sullivan 180 and Bold Gold Media Present…

Health Heroes Radio Campaign

ullivan 180 and Bold Gold Media are proud to partner on “Be Bold, Choose Health”…

a radio campaign for 2021 which will feature several Health Heroes each month across all three Bold Gold Media radio stations (WSUL, Thunder 102, and VOS-FM).

MEET OUR HEALTH HEROES!

A Health Hero is someone who has helped to make strides in the health and wellness of the county by doing something big or small that improves the mental, physical, or spiritual health of those around them. It could be through building a wellness committee at a workplace and inspiring walking meetings. It could be through educating children in a youth group about sugary beverages and healthier eating, or perhaps it’s someone who brings healthier choices to the church coffee hour. No matter what or who it is, this year, we’re going to showcase the people in Sullivan County who are making a difference and helping to build a culture of health.

For any questions, please email info@sullivan180.org or call (845) 295-2680.

Thank You!

    January’s Health Heroes

    Martin Colavito/organization-SALT
Marty has been delivering meals, hygiene products, and other essentials throughout the entire county since the beginning of the pandemic. He also assists people with finding and securing housing, furniture, and whatever else they may need. He is part of the Drug Task Force and works to create and direct people to resources who are suffering from addiction. He also is a member of the Committee for Equity & Justice where he organizes educational events and further navigates people in the county to resources.

    Debra Conway/organization-Barryville Farmers Market
Debra has tirelessly worked to motivate the residents of Barryville and the surrounding area to advocate for a Farmer’s Market when the original site was cancelled. This resulted in a new and better version, now hosted by the Barryville Methodist Church on Route 97. The impact that the improved Farmer’s Market has on local and visiting residents is exemplary, especially during this time of Covid-19.
