Sullivan 180 Empowering a Healthier Generation Grant Awards 

Healthier Generation Competition Grants

[Liberty, NY] Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce the Healthier Generation Competition Grant recipients for the 2023-2025 grant cycle. The $10,000 Healthier Generation Competition Grants boost schools to a higher level of health and wellness; and encourage the creation of a campaign to promote specific goals of the District’s Wellness Policy throughout the school community.

The Sullivan County schools that have been awarded grants include:

Eldred Junior Senior High School (Eldred): #EldredWasteWarriors Composting Program

George L. Cooke Elementary (Monticello): Outdoor Learning Space and Trail

Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary (Monticello): Student Support Room Update, Trail Signage and Snowshoes

Livingston Manor Middle/High School (Livingston Manor): Composting Program, Nature Trail Signage, And Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club Support

“The schools continue to raise the bar when it comes to health and wellness and have brought the Healthier Generation Competition to a whole new level,” said, Meaghan Mullally-Gorr, Director of Health at Wellness at Sullivan 180. “Their work is going beyond building-led initiatives, they are making district Wellness Policy change and are improving the culture of their entire school community.”
