2024 Sullivan 180 Municipal Partnership Grants Announced
Grants support care of public spaces, recreation and the arts
[Liberty, NY] – Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce the 2024 Municipal Partnership Program Grant recipients. The Municipal Partnership Program offers grants up to $20,000 to local governments to care for public spaces, creation of youth initiatives and building healthy communities. Several projects will also have a paid seasonal intern to support their work.
“The Municipal Partnership Program encourages municipalities to invest in their public spaces while developing strong partnerships with their youth, volunteer groups and community organizations to implement creative and lasting projects,” said Shannon Cilento, Sullivan 180 Community Development and Communications Manager.
The 2024 Municipal Partnership Grants are:
Town of Bethel: Beautification at 22 sites in Town and installation of new playground equipment and chess/checker tables at 3 Town Parks.
Town of Callicoon: Installation of a new basketball and pickleball court at Town Park in Callicoon Center.
Town of Fallsburg: Renovation of the O&W Rail Trail trailhead on River Road, including parking area, signage, seating and beautification.
Town of Highland: Beautification at locations and installation of new Town welcome signs.
Town of Liberty: Beautification of public spaces throughout Town and Village; creation of community-led murals in Parksville.
Town of Mamakating: Installation of new tennis and pickleball courts at Town Park.
Town of Thompson: Beautification at locations throughout Town and installation of street pole banners created by local artists to enhance new Route 42 traffic circles and East Broadway gateways.
Village of Woodridge: Installation of a new basketball court at Krieger Park.
