The 2026 class of Sullivan 180 Interns have begun their work to care for gardens and other public spaces throughout Sullivan County.

Justin and Justine Sutherland of Somewhere in Time Farm hosted the group field trip as part of the Catskill Edible Garden Project, a collaboration between Sullivan 180, Catskill Mountainkeeper, and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Fallsburg Hope Squad recently participated in a team-building retreat at Frost Valley YMCA on May 26, 2026 as part of their Sullivan 180 2025-27 Healthier Generation Competition Grant.

The Sullivan West Central School District has been awarded the 2026 Sullivan 180 Golden Feather Community Impact Grant in the amount of $125,000 to renovate and improve Lions Field facilities in Jeffersonville. The Town of Thompson has been awarded the 2026 Silver Feather Community Impact Grant in the amount of $100,000 to install new playground equipment for youth of all ages and abilities at Lake Ida Park in Rock Hill.

Sullivan 180 announced the latest round of grant awards in its School and Community Beautification Grant Program.

Sullivan 180 announced the first round of 2026 Community Development Grants to support community-driven projects that align with Sullivan 180’s mission to build a healthy community. Grant amounts range up to $5,000 depending on the scope of the project.

Sullivan 180 recently attended the 2026 NY Farm to School Summit, joining partners from across New York State to explore strategies that strengthen connections between local farms and schools.

Sullivan 180 and Fallsburg Hope Squad will represent Sullivan County at “Mental Health Matters Day” in connection with the Mental Health Association of New York State in Albany on March 11.

Sullivan 180 will host a Facilitator Training for the CATCH My Breath Youth Vaping Prevention Program on March 13 from 12:30–3:30 PM at the CVI Building in Liberty. This training is open to parents, teachers, community volunteers, youth workers, community health advocates and anyone interested in helping young people steer clear of e-cigarettes.
