Two Sullivan County school food service professionals share why they pursued their careers.

Sullivan 180, in partnership with the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, is inviting businesses to join the 2025 Merchant Discount Program. The program offers discounts on supplies, materials, or services to support grant funded projects and volunteer efforts to build a healthier Sullivan County.

The 2025 Sullivan 180 Scholarship application is now available.  The scholarship program recognizes volunteer efforts in projects that support the Sullivan 180 mission to build a healthy community through people, places, and policy; with an intentional focus on prevention and empowering a healthier generation

Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce a partnership with three school districts to implement new mental health initiatives in Sullivan County School Districts. Sullivan 180 will work with Fallsburg and Eldred to implement a three-year Hope Squad Pilot in their middle and high schools.

Sullivan 180 will host a training for students, staff, community volunteers, youth workers and community health advocates to learn the fundamentals of QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer). The training will be taking place on February 27^th from 3:45 – 5:45pm at SUNY Sullivan in Loch Sheldrake, led by Kristen Meyer, Community Health Champion Trainer for Sullivan 180. [

Sullivan 180 is now recruiting interns for the 2025 season! Young adults ages 16-20 are invited to apply for paid summer internships; where they will have the opportunity to work alongside volunteers to help communities, organizations, churches, and schools bring their ideas to life.

The Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge kicked off a third year on January 1, 2025. To date, 15 of Sullivan County’s Volunteer Fire Departments have signed on to participate. As temperatures dropped during the wintery months of the challenge, departments braved the icy waters of White Lake at the Freeze for A Cause Polar Plunge in support of Alzheimer’s research.

Sullivan 180 will host two trainings, on February 14 and March 14, for teachers, community volunteers, youth workers and community health advocates to become facilitators of the CATCH My Breath Youth Vaping Prevention Program

The 4th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Youth Summit was held on January 17, 2025, at SUNY Sullivan with goal breaking numbers of attendees including over 120 students and 60 adult chaperones and volunteers.

Sullivan 180 invited the community to step out of their cars and walk through the dazzling lights at Bethel Woods for the fifth annual Peace, Love & Lights’ Walk-Thru Mondays. Guests were encouraged to explore the drive-through light installation up close while supporting a great cause.

The 2025 Sullivan 180 grant programs are open, and the following applications are available: Beautification, School Beautification, Municipal Partnership and Community Development. Application deadlines, amounts and eligibility vary.

To kick off the 2025 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge, departments gathered with their members, friends and families to walk the 1.7-mile illuminated trail at Peace, Love & Lights at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

The 4th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Youth Summit will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at SUNY Sullivan from 9am – 2pm, with a new, optional after-party from 2 – 5pm.

Sullivan 180 participated in the 2024 New York State Farm to School Summit held on November 21 and 22 at The Oncenter in Syracuse, NY.

Sullivan 180 is inviting the community to explore Peace, Love & Lights at Bethel Woods up close and personal, out of the car and amidst the magic. 

Since the beginning of the school year, Sullivan 180 has held three trainings for the evidence-based CATCH My Breath Youth Vaping Prevention Program.

Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Sullivan BOCES to host a hands-on tree planting demonstration Thursday, November 7^th, from 9am to 11am, at the Sullivan BOCES campus, 52 Ferndale Loomis Rd, Liberty, NY 12754. The program will be held rain or shine.

Sullivan 180 will hold a training on November 1st, 2024 for individuals to become facilitators of the evidence-based CATCH My Breath Vaping Prevention Program.

Sullivan 180, in partnership with The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, awarded two scholarships to volunteers who made a significant contribution to a 2024 Sullivan 180 project.
