Sullivan 180 recently attended the 2026 NY Farm to School Summit, joining partners from across New York State to explore strategies that strengthen connections between local farms and schools.

Sullivan 180 and Fallsburg Hope Squad will represent Sullivan County at “Mental Health Matters Day” in connection with the Mental Health Association of New York State in Albany on March 11.

Sullivan 180 will host a Facilitator Training for the CATCH My Breath Youth Vaping Prevention Program on March 13 from 12:30–3:30 PM at the CVI Building in Liberty. This training is open to parents, teachers, community volunteers, youth workers, community health advocates and anyone interested in helping young people steer clear of e-cigarettes.

Sullivan 180 and Sullivan BOCES partnered to host a powerful professional development event focused on building healthier, kinder school communities.

On January 28^th the George L. Cooke Elementary School participated in Chef in the Classroom, an extension of the Catskill Edible Garden Project. 

Sullivan 180 is recruiting interns for the 2026 season. Young adults ages 16–20 are invited to apply for paid summer employment, where they will have the opportunity to work alongside volunteers to help communities, organizations, churches, and schools bring their ideas to life.

Sullivan 180 invited the community to step out of their cars and walk through the dazzling lights at Bethel Woods for the sixth annual Peace, Love & Lights’ Walk-Thru Mondays. Guests were encouraged to explore the drive-through light installation up close while supporting great causes in our community.

] The 2026 Sullivan 180 grant programs are open, and the following applications are available: Community Beautification, School Beautification, Municipal Partnership and Community Development. Application deadlines, grant resources and eligibility vary. All grants require that youth be engaged in or impacted by the projects.

Sullivan 180 will host “Creating Great Public Spaces” on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6 PM via Zoom. Municipal planning and zoning board members will receive 1 training credit hour for attending.

Sullivan 180 Healthier Generation (HG) Advisors and staff from the Empowering a Healthier Generation, Prevention, and Mental Health Programs attended national conferences in October to immerse in a variety of topics that support prevention, the health of our youth in schools and in their communities.

Sullivan 180 is proud to announce the official launch of Hope Squads in the Eldred Central School District and Fallsburg Central School District, marking an important step in expanding peer-based mental health support across Sullivan County schools.

Sullivan 180, in partnership with The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, awarded two scholarships to volunteers who made a significant contribution to a 2025 Sullivan 180 project.

The Coalition for a Vape Free Sullivan announced that PAVe (Parents Against Vaping e-Cigarettes), the first and only national parent organization fighting the vaping and tobacco industries, will present to Sullivan County schools and communities on Wednesday November 5th from 4-6pm at the CVI Building in Liberty.
