Sullivan 180 Welcomes Two New Board Members

Dr. Patrina Phillip-King and Dr. Anjana Poonthota Add Expertise and Passion

[LIBERTY] – Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce the additions of Dr. Patrina Phillip-King and Dr. Anjana Poonthota to the Sullivan 180 Board of Directors.

Dr. Patrina Phillip-King, M.D, F.A.C.O.G, CPE, is a Regional Women’s Health Medical Director at Sun River Health and is affiliated with Garnet Health Medical Center-Catskills. She oversees providers and patient services, ensuring clinical and quality standards for women's health practices across Hudson Valley and New York City. For over seven years, she has delivered comprehensive women’s health services in Sullivan County, collaborating with community partners to enhance health and wellbeing through initiatives like preventive cancer awareness and lectures.

Dr. Phillip-King served in the United States Army Reserves while attending The College of Staten Island. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Medical Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

I am delighted to bring my expertise to the Board as Sullivan 180 continues to prioritize improving the wellness of Sullivan County,” said Dr. Phillip-King.

Anjana Poonthota, MD, MPH, MBA, FAAP, is a board-certified Pediatric Hospitalist with Garnet Health Doctors. She serves as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, Medical Director of Women and Children’s Services, Director of Employee Wellness, and Chair of Resident Wellness at Garnet Health. Dr. Poonthota was appointed to the Board of Health of Orange County and is a board member of Parks & Trails New York.

Dr. Poonthota earned her medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India and completed her pediatrics residency at Albany Medical Center in New York. She holds a master’s degree in public health from SUNY Albany and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

I hope that my years of service as a pediatrician and my efforts in promoting women’s health and children’s services at Garnet Health would help me in serving our community. I am eagerly looking forward to working with the compassionate team at Sullivan 180,” said Dr. Poonthota.
