Also known as the “Renegade Lunch Lady,” Chef Ann Cooper will be part of the Sullivan 180 Speaker Series, inviting the community to explore how scratch-cooked school meals can transform the way we nourish our students and think about food in our schools.
Chef Ann’s message is timely. In the United States today, many children face rising rates of diet-related illness. Experts increasingly point to the importance of improving food environments early in life, particularly in schools where students eat two meals a day.
This community event will offer educators, families, and community members the opportunity to learn more about the power of scratch cooking, the value of locally sourced food, and the role communities can play in supporting healthier school meals.
