Community Health Champion and Sullivan Club 180

Community Health Champion: Community Health Champions lead Sullivan Club 180 activities, offering peer support and motivation to individuals striving to enhance their health and well-being.  

Sullivan Club 180: Sullivan Club 180 is a grassroots effort that offers a way for everyone to participate in healthy activities.

It takes everyone to make a change, no matter how small. Those small changes can have big results in overall individual health and that of our entire community.

Join or Lead a Sullivan Club 180

Sullivan Club 180s, led by Community Health Champions, focus on healthy activities such as increasing physical activity, improving nutrition, enhancing mental health, and reducing tobacco and substance use. Sullivan 180 provides resources, networking opportunities, and event promotion on social media for the club. Additionally, Sullivan Club 180s are eligible to apply for a Sullivan 180 Community Development grant to support health initiatives.

Criteria for forming a Club 180:

  • Formed / Led by a Community Health Champion

  • A minimum of five participants

  • Regularly scheduled gatherings/meetings

  • Offering healthy activities such as: increasing physical activity, improving nutrition, enhancing mental health, and reducing tobacco and substance use

Some examples are a neighborhood running/walking club for increased physical activity, a smoking cessation club to support friends and family to quit tobacco products, or a book club that also swaps healthy recipes.
