What School Beautification Participants Are Saying
“Our Career & Tech Education students were able to facilitate the installation of the garden. Our project has not only revitalized certain areas of our campus but has also created spaces that have boosted school pride. The beautification project is now one of the first things seen when students and staff enter the campus.”
— Linda Blanton, Sullivan BOCES
“Receiving the grant from Sullivan 180 provided the necessary funds to begin our beautification efforts on campus, led by our Career & Tech Natural Resources Program. The students eagerly applied their skills and training to create spaces that all of our students and staff can enjoy. In the end, they took great pride in their work and will always have something to look back on and say ‘I helped create that.’”
— Jeff Molusky, Sullivan BOCES
“Thanks to the Sullivan 180 School Beautification Grant funds our district was able to make the front entrance to our school building much more inviting and a welcome site when entering the building. This area had been neglected and was overgrown and unsightly. With the grant funds, we were able to reimagine the space and turn it into a beautiful entrance.”
— Rebecca Ackerly, Roscoe Central School District
