Sullivan 180 Announces Community Development Grant Recipients

Grants support public art, events and enhanced public places
[Liberty, NY] – Sullivan 180 announced recipients of the 2025 Community Development Grants, which support community-driven projects that align with Sullivan 180’s mission to build a healthy community. Grant amounts range up to $5,000 depending on the scope of the project.
“These projects reflect the creativity, heart, and energy of our community,” said Shannon Cilento, Sullivan 180 Director of Community Development & Communications. “They meet real needs while helping to create welcoming spaces and experiences that support connection and well-being.”
To date, the 2025 Community Development Grant recipients are:
Barryville Area Arts Association: Expansion of Picasso Was Right! youth art program with workshops and a county-wide student exhibition.
Calliope on Main Foundation: Launch of Rockland Rides youth cycling and safety program, with helmet and bike lock giveaways at a May event.
ENGN Civic Creative Center: Restoration of historic grain silos in downtown Callicoon.
Ten Mile River Scout Museum: Phase 1 of campus upgrades including walkways and drainage to support increased public use and outdoor learning.
Hope’s Compass Fund: Celebratory events and public art installation honoring genocide survivors; and the establishment of Creation Stations, similar to Little Free Libraries, for art supplies and projects.
Narrowsburg Farmers Market: Expansion of food and sustainability workshops and launch of Meals on a Budget series with the local food pantry.
Sullivan O&W Rail Trail Alliance: Nature and birding walks as part of the first-ever multi-day ROAM event on the O&W Rail Trail in Wurtsboro.
Wurtsboro Board of Trade: Creation of four new murals in the Village of Wurtsboro with community engagement and youth participation.
