Sullivan 180 Announces Municipal Partnership Grant Recipients

Grants support care of public spaces, recreation and youth programming

Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce the 2025 Municipal Partnership Program Grant recipients. The Municipal Partnership Program offers grants up to $20,000 to local governments for the care of public spaces, creation of youth initiatives and other activities that build healthy communities. Several projects will also have a paid Sullivan 180 intern to support their work.

 

โ€œThe Municipal Partnership Program encourages municipalities to invest in their public spaces while developing strong partnerships with their youth, volunteer groups and community organizations to implement creative and lasting projects,โ€ said Shannon Cilento, Sullivan 180 Director of Community Development and Communications.

 

The 2025 Municipal Partnership Grants are:

Town of Bethel: Town-wide beautification and installation of adaptive playground equipment at the Forest Reserve at Smallwood.

Town of Fallsburg: Renovation of the Mountaindale basketball court and picnic area, including upgrades for pickleball, lighting, seating, signage and landscaping.

Town of Highland: Installation of two new Town welcome signs and support for native and annual plantings across Town.

Town of Liberty: Town-wide beautification; installation of interpretive history panels along Walnut Mountain Park trails.

Town of Neversink: Launch of the Townโ€™s first youth summer camp program at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds, with a culminating week at Frost Valley.

Town of Thompson: Town-wide beautification and new mural on Town Hall; installation of smart trash/recycling bins and new bus shelter on Route 42.

Town of Tusten: Town-wide beautification and installation of new trees, benches, and signage at Kirks Road walking path.

Village of Liberty: Renovation of Liberty Police Department entrance and installation of a student-designed mural.

Village of Woodridge: Village beautification and installation of a new pickleball court at Krieger Park.
