Walk Through Peace, Love & Lights with Sullivan 180

Bring a new, unwrapped toy for free admission

[FERNDALE, NY] โ€“ Sullivan 180 invites the community to explore Peace, Love & Lights at Bethel Woods up close and personal, out of the car and amidst the magic.

This is the 4th year that Sullivan 180 has partnered with Bethel Woods to encourage walking through the lights as a way of getting out and getting active during the winter months. The campaign is also paired with a benefit for the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless. Walkers who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive one free admission. In addition to collecting toys, a monetary donation will be made for each walker up to 600 walkers who participate. That donation is also matched by community organizations such as the Liberty Rotary. All funds support the toy drive or other immediate needs at the Federation.

โ€œThe holidays can be a financially and emotionally challenging time for families already struggling to make ends meet. The support provided by Sullivan 180 lets them know that people out here really do care,โ€ said Kathy Kreiter, director at Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless.

Three themed nights will add to the excitement and fun. December 4 schools are encouraged to get creative and show off their school spirit. December 11 is Healthcare Night. Take a much needed break and enjoy a walk with your healthcare colleagues. Returning again on December 18 Sullivan 180 will kick off the Healthiest Fire Department Challenge with the Healthiest Fire Department Challenge Night.
