Sullivan 180 is elated to announce its successful selection as the recipient of a $100,000 2023 USDA Farm to School Implementation Grant. Over the course of 24 months, the grant will fuel a series of transformative activities, all aimed at enhancing community health and well-being.

On July 19th, Sullivan 180, in partnership with MISN (Maternal Infant Services Network), hosted a Sullivan Basics train-the-trainer program for individuals interested in positively impacting the growth and development of our youngest Sullivan County residents, infants and toddlers.

Come out and celebrate the dog days of summer at the 2nd annual Bow WO&W Dog Walk on Thursday, August 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on the Liberty segment of the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail, meeting at the Bridge and Tunnel Brewery, 50 Lake Street, Liberty. Bring your leashed dog and the whole family for a walk.

Join Sullivan 180 on Wednesday, August 2 at 6pm for a return trip and interpretive historical walk of the Bindy Bazaar Trail. This trail, located at the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, is being restored by the Museum at Bethel Woods.

The 2023 Sullivan 180 scholarship application is now available. The scholarship program recognizes volunteer efforts in projects that support the Sullivan 180 mission to build a healthy community through people, places, and policy; with an intentional focus on prevention and empowering a healthier generation.

In an effort to promote prevention programming and engage community volunteers, Sullivan 180 will host two upcoming train-the-trainer opportunities for individuals interested in positively impacting health in Sullivan County.

World No Tobacco Day, sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO), is held annually on May 31st and brings together people around the world to stand up against big tobacco. 

The 2023 class of Sullivan 180 Interns have begun their work to care for gardens and other public spaces in communities throughout Sullivan County. From small planters and established gardens, to park enhancements and beautifying Main Streets, interns are working with community volunteers to make a difference in their neighborhoods.
